Rachel Johns

Rachel's career began in the hospitality industry where she managed several restaurants and drinking establishments. Here she excelled in training, recruitment and effective internal and community communication. Always one to look for challenges, Rachel left the steady pay cheque to begin work in her passions: events and brand communications. Over the last few years, Rachel has built a solid reputation based on creative planning and execution. Working under tight deadlines, Rachel has executed successful projects that have exceeded clients' expectations for clients such as Ubisoft, MTS, Live Nation, Paramount Pictures, Fox Entertainment, Telus, VanCity, Bell and the provincial government. In 2004, Rachel founded Greenstone Productions, a small boutique event marketing and management agency. Leading her team, Greenstone Productions produced several high-profile events in Vancouver such as lululemon Flip Flop Soiree, Gold Medal Plates, Aquatica, Moondance Masquerade, Camp Moomba Yogathon & Blissfest, Wheel to Heal, BCAMA's Vision Conference and Feast of Fortune. Today, as Director of Operations at LimeLight Event Marketing, Rachel looks forward to turning events and brands from a creative vision into a tangible reality through her specialties: creative marketing strategy and meticulous execution. Rachel makes things happen. In her free time, Rachel is a mother and wife passionate about travel, yoga, cooking, cycling and sunshine. Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., Rachel has dedicated herself to be the ultimate problem solver. With a degree in journalism and sociology from the University of Victoria and a diploma in marketing and public relations from BCIT, Rachel has the training to communicate and read audiences effectively to exceed goals and expectations. In addition to this training, she has mastered skills in organization and time management making her an execution and logistics specialist.
